Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his first title for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a former number one, has had a torrid period, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the American major.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in specific - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Presently collaborating with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set victory over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first trophy after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface since spring of 2023.
The win also means the Russian has won 21 victories at 21 various tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a championship is particularly special," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
His defensive strategy and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led some to doubt if his ability to play at the highest level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, taking four of the concluding five games to take the lead.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his initial ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to force a decider.
He rescued four initial opportunities in a close final set before the Russian won the break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he secured the win with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
